Work one-on-one with an adult learner
Support basic reading, writing, math, or computer skills
Assist with high school–level subjects (if you’re able)
Help plan sessions based on the learner’s personal goals
Each tutoring relationship is customized — you and your learner will set goals and work together to achieve them.
2 to 4 hours per week
Flexible scheduling during weekday hours
Minimum commitment of 4 months
Attend a tutor orientation session
Meet regularly with your assigned learner
Provide friendly, encouraging instruction
Track progress using brief notes
Maintain a respectful and supportive learning space
Friendly, caring, and respectful attitude
Patience and good listening skills
Reliability and consistency
Basic literacy and/or numeracy
Willingness to help others learn and grow
