What You’ll Do

• Work one-on-one with an adult learner

• Support basic reading, writing, math, or computer skills

• Assist with high school–level subjects (if you’re able)

• Help plan sessions based on the learner’s personal goals

• Each tutoring relationship is customized — you and your learner will set goals and work together to achieve them.

Time Commitment

• 2 to 4 hours per week

• Flexible scheduling during weekday hours

• Minimum commitment of 4 months

Responsibilities 

• Attend a tutor orientation session

• Meet regularly with your assigned learner

• Provide friendly, encouraging instruction

• Track progress using brief notes

• Maintain a respectful and supportive learning space

What We’re Looking For

• Friendly, caring, and respectful attitude

• Patience and good listening skills

• Reliability and consistency

• Basic literacy and/or numeracy

• Willingness to help others learn and grow
